A specialty yarn store in Howell, known as Stitch in Time, will be closing its doors for good in October. Located at 722 E. Grand River Ave., the store has been a hub for creativity, connection, and shared projects for over 30 years. Owner Charlene Hatfield announced the closure on May 1st, stating that she would be retiring after serving the community for so long.

Hatfield expressed her heartfelt gratitude to customers for their unwavering support and love for the craft throughout the years. She thanked her family, especially her husband, for their support in this endeavor. As she said goodbye to the store, Hatfield emphasized that the memories created together will always be cherished.

Stitch in Time is currently preparing to close its doors and fixtures are available for sale. The prime retail space will soon be available for rent, and those interested can contact Hatfield directly for more information.
