Coventry City manager Mark Robins has expressed excitement about the signing of Raphael Borges Rodrigues, a 20-year-old winger who joins the club from Australian A-League side Macarthur on a four-year contract.

Raphael, born in the Netherlands, impressed with six goals in 33 appearances for Macarthur after joining them in 2023. He also represents the Australia Under-23 national team and is known for his talent and athleticism.

Coventry City finished ninth in the Championship last season and narrowly missed out on a spot in the FA Cup final. With the addition of Raphael to their squad, they hope to continue their development and push for further success in the upcoming season.

Mark Robins praised Raphael’s impressive performance during the 2023-24 season and his eagerness to improve and grow as a player. This signing marks Coventry’s first acquisition of the summer transfer window.
