In an interview with DNVR Sports, Courtland Sutton confirmed that he will attend the mandatory minicamp next week, despite not participating in the voluntary portion of the Broncos’ offseason program. He expressed his love for football and his dedication to preparation and competition, stating that it has been “killing” him to miss out on OTAs this offseason.

Sutton has been open about his desire for a reworked contract with a pay raise, opting to work out on his own in Florida rather than at the team’s training facility. He has two years left on the four-year, $60 million extension he signed in November 2021, with only $2 million of guaranteed money remaining out of the $27.6 million total. Despite Sutton’s request for a trade and interest from other teams, the Broncos reportedly have no plans to trade him. Fines for missing the three days of minicamp are approximately $100,000.
