In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and global management of sustainability activities for the company’s industrial business. Reporting to Claus Spille, head of operations at ContiTech, Baarup brings with her eight years of experience at Continental in various roles, including materials technology, HR, and organizational development.
Baarup’s expertise in materials technology has made her an ideal candidate for this role. She previously served as head of material technology solutions for Continental’s tire business, focusing on sustainable materials. Baarup is committed to selecting the right materials, developing recyclable material mixtures, and manufacturing products in an environmentally friendly manner.
Spille expressed confidence in Baarup’s abilities to further develop the company’s strategic priorities and activities related to sustainability.
