A woman from Connecticut is facing charges for allegedly stealing over $97,000 from a Putnam County business where she worked. In April, the owner of a Brewster business suspected their bookkeeper of taking funds and contacted the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Following an investigation, Marlenin Vito was arrested and charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records. Meanwhile, in Orange County, Gina Bradshaw of Maybrook has pleaded guilty to defrauding the state health insurance plan. The State Comptroller’s Office reported that Bradshaw was enrolled in NYSHIP through her husband’s state job. She admitted to submitting false claims for reimbursement checks totaling more than $12,000, claiming she received services at two offices where she worked.

Stony Point police are still on the lookout for one suspect involved in an attempted robbery and home invasion.
