The Connecticut Economy conference will be held on September 4th, with a focus on the state’s economic challenges and opportunities for growth. Stacey Kennedy, President and CEO of Philip Morris International’s U.S. business, will be the keynote speaker this year, discussing topics such as the company’s impact on Connecticut’s economy, innovation focus, and business transformation.

The event will also include the release of the CBIA Foundation’s strategic economic action plan, aimed at improving the state’s competitiveness, attracting investment and talent, promoting innovation, creating career opportunities, and fostering economic growth. Paul Mounds from Yale New Haven Health will lead a discussion with economic development leaders from other states, sharing best practices for building a sustainable economy and driving generational change.

Michael Brooder from Marcum will present the results of CBIA’s annual survey of Connecticut businesses, along with a panel of business leaders exploring the challenges and opportunities in the evolving economic landscape. Attendees will also have the chance to network with peers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
