During Vanderbilt baseball’s game against Tennessee, Tim Corbin invited Asher Sullivan’s brother Declan into the dugout for a special experience. The brother of Asher, who was critically injured in a storm drain following a storm on May 8, spent the game with the Commodores. A photo shared by the family on social media showed Asher wearing Vanderbilt baseball gear at Hawkins Field.

Tim Corbin explained that he wanted to do something to help in the healing process for the Sullivan family. He reached out to Jimmy Sullivan late at night with the idea of having Declan join the team in the dugout for the game against Tennessee. Jimmy quickly agreed, and Declan was picked up after batting practice to spend the afternoon with the team. Corbin mentioned that bringing Declan to the game could provide some relief during this difficult time and that sports have the power to help families in need.
