Columbia Memorial Health, a healthcare network based in Hudson, has recently reopened the only urgent care clinic in southeastern Columbia County. The health care network worked with elected officials and local residents to establish a fund dedicated to restoring urgent care services in the area known as the Roe Jan community, which includes Ancram, Copake, Hillsdale, Gallatin, and Taghkanic. This region has a population of about 10,000 people, with an average age of 57 in Copake.

The urgent care clinic received over $300,000 in donations from local residents, which were specifically earmarked for the center. Kirk Kneller, chair of Columbia Memorial’s board of trustees, emphasized the importance of community involvement in making the reopening of the urgent care clinic possible. He highlighted the partnership and spirit of cooperation that was fostered throughout the process and expressed optimism about the future of healthcare in the region.

Copake Town Supervisor Richard Wolf expressed excitement about the reopening of CMH Rapid Care in Copake, emphasizing the essential services it will provide to the residents of the Roe Jan Community. The urgent care center is now open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, Callan Family Care, a primary care practice also run by Columbia Memorial Health
