A state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital is set to open in Greenville in 2025, and ECU Health team members recently had the opportunity to be a part of this exciting project. The Thomas Construction team brought a beam to the ECU Health Medical Center for team members to sign, which will be installed in the hospital’s gymnasium. Over 100 team members signed the beam, leaving their mark on the hospital for years to come.

Amy Albritton, a recreational therapy assistant in Behavioral Health Services at ECU Health, has been with the system for over 25 years. She expressed her excitement about witnessing the plans for the new hospital coming to life after her years of service on the unit. Seeing and signing the beam has made the project feel more tangible and exciting for her, solidifying her role in the construction of the hospital.
