As the highest draft pick to sign in the Class of 2024, Jayden Daniels has reached an agreement with the Commanders on his rookie contract. The quarterback’s deal is for four years and is valued at $37.75 million, fully guaranteed, with a $24.3 million signing bonus included. With this news, Daniels is officially a member of the Commanders.

The Commanders are putting Daniels through the paces to earn the starting quarterback position, but it is likely that he will be the team’s eighth different Week 1 quarterback in as many seasons. Despite Bears quarterback Caleb Williams remaining unsigned, Daniels has secured his spot with Washington.

Daniels had an impressive season at LSU, where he was awarded the Heisman Trophy. He completed 72.2 percent of his passes for 3,812 yards and threw 40 touchdowns with only four interceptions. In addition, Daniels demonstrated his dual-threat abilities by rushing for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns. With his talent and potential, Daniels is set to make a significant impact for the Commanders in the coming seasons.
