The Commanders have announced new additions to their front office, with executives from two teams that made it to the conference championship games last year joining their ranks. Brandon Sosna, formerly with the Lions, will now serve as the Commanders’ senior vice president of football operations, while David Blackburn is expected to join the team as the director of player personnel, leaving his position with the Ravens. These new hires are part of General Manager Adam Peters’ efforts to reorganize and strengthen the team’s front office.

As a result of these changes, several key members of the Commanders’ front office staff have departed this offseason. Eric Stokes, who served as the senior director of player personnel, has left the team along with national scout David Whittington and college scout Harrison Ritcher. The Commanders are in the midst of a major restructuring process in their front office, with these departures being just one piece of a larger effort to enhance their operations and build a stronger team for years to come.
