On Friday, Columbia College faced off against Stephens College in a doubleheader following a recent loss to Williams Baptist University. In the first game, the Cougars took control early on with Jazlin Gottman’s single in the second inning resulting in two RBIs and putting them ahead 2-0. The momentum shifted in the second game as the Stars dominated the third inning and took a 2-0 lead. Elise Kendrick’s hit drove in two runs, and the Stars continued to build on their lead with three more singles by the sixth inning. Ultimately, Stephens College secured a 6-4 victory over Columbia College, leaving them struggling to keep up with their opponents.
