The Indianapolis Colts resumed their training on Tuesday for the first of three mandatory minicamp practices. During practice, James Boyd of The Athletic provided updates on injuries from the session. Last week, head coach Shane Steichen announced that wide receiver Michael Pittman would be held out of practice as a precaution after colliding with another player during the first OTA session. On Tuesday, tight end Mo Alie-Cox returned to practice after missing last week’s OTA due to an undisclosed injury.

However, Alec Pierce did not participate in the session for an undisclosed reason. Braden Smith and Ashton Dulin were also absent from practice. Smith is still recovering from offseason knee surgery, while Dulin is still dealing with an ACL injury he suffered last summer. There is currently no timeline for their return to the field. Safety Daniel Scott was also absent from practice after tearing his Achilles in a recent workout and will miss the 2024 season. This marks the second consecutive year that Scott has missed significant time due to an ACL injury.

Coach Steichen expressed disappointment about Scott’s injuries and emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset during the recovery process. As more information becomes available about Colts minicamp, this post will be updated accordingly.
