Linebacker Shaquille Leonard has been released by the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts’ owner, Jim Irsay, thanked Leonard for his contributions to the team and expressed gratitude for his time with the organization. In response, Leonard posted a heartfelt message on social media expressing his love for the city of Indianapolis and its fans.

During his six years with the Colts, Leonard achieved many successes. He was selected in the second round of the 2018 draft and won defensive rookie of the year. Additionally, he was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019. However, back injuries and reduced playing time led to his release from the team.

Despite leaving the Colts, Leonard remains grateful for their support and expressed appreciation for their fans. As a free agent, he now has the opportunity to sign with a new team and explore different options in his professional career.
