According to the annual U.S. News and World Report, Colorado Springs, Colo. has been ranked as the 3rd best city to live in the nation. The rankings are based on a complex set of data that is divided into four Indexes: Quality of Life, Value Index, Desirability Index, and Job Market Index.

Erika Giovanetti, a U.S. News and World Reporter, highlighted Colorado Springs’ success in terms of Desirability, where it ranked #1 out of 3500 people surveyed. The city was praised for being a place that draws people in and makes them want to stay.

Colorado Springs also performed well in the Job Market and Quality of Life Indexes. Job Market Index is based on factors like unemployment rate and average salary, while the Quality of Life Index considers crime rates, education quality, FEMA Risk Index
