According to a recent release by USA TODAY Sports, the Colorado Buffaloes have been ranked at No. 76 in their post-spring college football re-ranking. This puts them just ahead of New Mexico State and behind South Carolina, making them one of the lowest-ranked Power Four programs. Interestingly, three teams that won four or fewer games last season were ranked above Colorado.

The Big 12 Conference as a whole did not perform well in the re-ranking, with only three teams cracking the top 25: Utah at No. 15, Kansas State at No. 19, and Kansas at No. 23. This suggests that there is still room for improvement among the conference’s teams.

Colorado’s upcoming nonconference opponents, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Colorado State Rams, were ranked at No. 25 and No. 89 respectively. This indicates that the Buffaloes will face some tough competition in their nonconference games.

Deion Sanders will lead Colorado into their second season on August 29th when they take on Football Championship Subdivision powerhouse North Dakota State. Fans can stay updated on all things Colorado by following @BuffaloesWire on Twitter and liking their page on Facebook.
