The Cleveland Browns have signed former Ohio State guard, Wyatt Davis, after waiving defensive tackle Jayden Peevy. Davis was a key player on the OSU offensive line from 2017-2020 and earned unanimous All-American honors after the 2020 season. Despite being selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings, Davis struggled to make an impact and was eventually cut after playing in only six games during his rookie season.

In 2022, Davis had brief stints with the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants, before not playing at all in 2023. The Browns, who already have depth at the guard position with additions from the draft and undrafted free agency, will have Davis competing for a spot on the depth chart. With the addition of Michigan’s Zak Zinter in the draft and undrafted free agent Javion Cohen from Miami, Davis will have to work hard to secure a role on the team after missing a year of play.

The Browns roster now includes six former Buckeyes, with Davis joining a group that includes cornerback Denzel Ward, center Luke Wypler, offensive tackle Dawand Jones, safety Ronnie Hickman, and defensive lineman Mike Hall Jr. Fans can follow ongoing coverage of Ohio State news, notes
