The Cleveland Browns have officially extended the contracts of their general manager, Andrew Berry, and head coach, Kevin Stefanski. Team owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam expressed their gratitude for having Stefanski and Berry at the helm of the organization.

Since being hired in 2020, the pair has led the Browns to two playoff appearances in four seasons. The team has achieved a winning percentage of .552, the highest in franchise history over a four-year span since the late 1980s. This season, despite facing challenges such as player injuries and quarterback changes, Berry and Stefanski were able to adapt and lead the team effectively.

While the exact contract details were not disclosed, it is reported that both Berry, 37, and Stefanski, 42, signed multi-year extensions. The Browns are coming off a successful 2023 season where they finished with an 11-6 record and secured a spot in the playoffs. However, they were eliminated in the Wild Card round. Despite this setback, ownership is confident that Stefanski and Berry’s leadership will continue to benefit the franchise in the future. They are hopeful for a healthy season from quarterback DeShaun Watson and running back Nick Chubb.

Stefanski is known for his ability to adapt to different situations on the field and his collaborative approach with players. He won NFL Coach of the Year honors twice during his time with the Browns. This makes him only one of three coaches in franchise history to win this award more than once. Additionally, he has been with the team since its relocation from Baltimore in 1996 – making him just one of two coaches who have been with Cleveland for more than two decades – alongside Bill Belichick who was with them until 2018.

Overall, ownership is excited about what’s ahead for them under Stefanski’s leadership as well as Berry’s dedication towards building a strong foundation for their team’s success moving forward into new seasons together.”
