The latest preseason College Football Power Rankings from Pro Football Focus have been released, and Clemson football finds itself in the top-15 at No. 15. The Tigers are nestled between SEC teams Ole Miss and Tennessee in the rankings. Florida State, an ACC rival, is the only team in the conference ranked higher than Clemson at No. 7, with newcomer SMU right behind the Tigers at No. 17.

Pro Football Focus also provides some projections for each team, including Clemson. According to the sports analytics giant, Clemson is expected to make a bowl game but not much else. With a strength of schedule ranked at No. 37, PFF projects the Tigers to win 7.5 games and gives them an 83.52 percent chance of making a bowl game. Unfortunately, four other ACC teams have better chances of winning the conference, with all but Florida State having easier strength of schedules. PFF also gives Clemson a slim 0.99 percent chance of winning a national championship.

The top-10 in the rankings are dominated by SEC and BIG 10 teams. Georgia holds the top spot, followed by Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, and Oregon. Penn State comes in at No
