The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health’s Community Health Academy is a five-month learning collaborative program that brings together city officials and mayors from sixteen Idaho cities to learn from experts, collaborate, and work on projects that improve community health. This year’s academy is the largest cohort yet thanks to a donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.

The participating cities in the academy include American Falls, Ashton, Bellevue, Bovill, Carey, Driggs, Eagle, East Hope, Firth, Lava Hot Springs, Ketchum, Marsing, Meridian, Newdale, Ponderay and Sandpoint. The program will launch in Boise with monthly sessions running through October. Sessions will be conducted in person and virtually covering topics such as community health, civility, childcare, food systems
