A suspect has been arrested and is facing charges of arson for attempting to set fire to a family-owned business in Cincinnati’s west side. The Cincinnati Fire Department reported that 36-year-old Robert Justice has been charged with Arson to Private Property, which is a fourth-degree felony.

Justice tried to set fire to Bob’s Drive Thru and Sunoco on West 8th Street in West Price Hill using a flammable liquid. He then used an open flame to ignite the rear garage door of the business, which was closed at the time. However, the fire self-extinguished before causing significant damage.

The business sustained smoke and fire damage estimated to cost over $1,000 to repair when it opened for the day later that morning. Fire and police were called to investigate the incident. The quick response from authorities led to Justice’s arrest, and he is now facing serious consequences for his actions.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance in protecting businesses and property from such destructive acts. Justices’ reckless behavior could have had devastating consequences, but thankfully, the fire was contained before it caused significant harm. The community is grateful for the swift action of law enforcement and fire officials in apprehending the suspect and preventing further damage.
