During his “Chris Simms Unbuttoned” podcast this week, journalist Chris Simms discussed the NFC East for the upcoming season. One aspect that stood out was his limited mention of the Washington Commanders, with co-host Ahmed Fareed bringing up the Draft Kings over/under win totals for the Giants and Commanders. When Simms heard this, he expressed surprise at the Commanders being predicted ahead of the Giants.

After this initial mention, Simms did not discuss the Commanders further and instead focused on the other three division rivals: the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants. He expressed his optimism for the Eagles, stating that they have a strong offseason under head coach Sirianni and have potential to improve over their previous season.

Simms also had some thoughts on the Cowboys and Giants. He suggested that while he loves the Giants and sees them as a long shot bet in the division, they are still competing with the Cowboys for second place in the NFC East. He praised the potential of both teams’ receiving corps but compared them favorably to that of New York Giants’.

In summary, based on his assessment of their potential for next season, Chris Simms sees Philadephia Eagles as top team in NFC East with Cowboys and Giants competing for second place while positioning Washington Commanders towards bottom of division rankings.
