The iconic “kick six” from November 30, 2013 at Jordan-Hare Stadium is a moment that every college football fan will always remember. With one second remaining on the game clock, the Alabama Crimson Tide attempted a 56-yard field goal to break a 28-28 tie against Auburn. However, the kick fell short and was returned 100 yards for a touchdown by Auburn returner Chris Davis, giving the Tigers a 34-28 win.

Fast forward to the present day, and Chris Davis’ son, CJ Davis, is poised to continue his father’s legacy in college football. The rising high school junior from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville has received an offer from his father’s alma mater, Auburn University. While CJ has not been ranked by recruiting outlets yet, he has also received offers from Arkansas, Florida State, and UCF.

To share the news of his offer from Auburn, CJ posted a photo on social media of him and his father during the elder Davis’ playing days at Auburn.
