In 2014, Chip and Joanna Gaines began their journey in the home renovation industry with the premiere of their hit show “Fixer Upper” on HGTV. Over the past decade, they have built an empire that includes their renovation series, the Magnolia network, and stores in Waco, Texas.

To commemorate this milestone, the couple recently renovated a lakehouse in Waco for their new series “Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse.” This six-episode series documents the transformation of the home and highlights Chip and Joanna’s design expertise. The lakehouse was built in 1965 and underwent a complete overhaul using midcentury modern design.

Chip and Joanna made natural light and the surrounding nature key elements of the design. They created a beautiful and inviting space that is perfect for relaxing by the water. The couple’s dedication to their craft has continued to impress fans through spin-offs like “Fixer Upper: The Castle” and “Fixer Upper: The Hotel.”
