Scientists have recently received rock samples from the far side of the Moon that were brought back by China’s Chang’e 6 probe. These rocks are expected to provide valuable insights into the Moon’s history and shed light on the early history of Earth.

China is known for its ambitious plans for future space exploration, with a goal of establishing a lunar base in the 2030s. The rock samples collected by Chang’e 6 represent an important milestone, as they are the first samples ever collected from the far side of the Moon. The samples will be analyzed by researchers, providing new information about the Moon’s geological past.

The Chang’e 6 mission used advanced technology to collect rocks and dust from the far side of the Moon, using a small bucket and drill to extract them. These rocks were then transferred to a return capsule, which successfully made its way back to Earth after a 53-day trip to the Moon. This mission builds on China’s previous success with the Chang’e 5 mission, which also brought back lunar samples.
