During a recent trip to Singapore, President Volodymyr Zelensky accused China of working against the upcoming peace conference in Ukraine. According to Zelensky, China is trying to prevent countries from participating in the summit and has been launching attacks against Ukraine with various types of missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, and attack drones. These attacks have resulted in harm to innocent civilians.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of protecting life in Ukraine by providing sufficient air defense systems and necessary weapons to soldiers. Despite many countries and organizations committing to participate in the peace summit, China and the United States have not confirmed their participation yet. This has caused disappointment among world leaders who were hoping for a positive outcome at the security forum in Singapore.

China had previously mentioned that it may find it difficult to participate in the summit if Russia is not invited, a sentiment supported by Moscow. According to a spokesperson from China’s Foreign Ministry, the conference may not play a substantial role in achieving peace if Russia is excluded. However, efforts are being made to bring together countries and organizations to work towards peace in the region.

While many world leaders expressed their support for Ukraine at the security forum in Singapore, President Zelensky had a positive meeting with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. Austin reiterated unwavering US support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. Despite these challenges, Zelensky continues to work towards finding a peaceful solution for Ukraine through diplomatic means.

In summary, while efforts are being made towards bringing countries together for peace talks on Ukraine’s crisis, there remains uncertainty surrounding China’s participation and concerns about Russian aggression causing harm to innocent civilians.
