Donald Glover, who plays Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars franchise, recently met with his predecessor, Billy Dee Williams. During their meeting, Williams imparted some advice to Glover on how to be charming onscreen.
Fans of Childish Gambino can rejoice as Glover has announced his upcoming tour, “The New World Tour.” The tour dates include a show at the TD Garden in Boston, where he will be joined by Willow Smith as a special guest under her stage name, WILLOW.
Glover’s tour announcement coincided with the surprise release of his latest album, “Atavista,” which is a reissued version of his previous album “3.15.20” featuring additional tracks and new guest appearances. Fans can catch him live at TD Garden on August 23, 2024 starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets for Glover’s Childish Gambino show in Boston will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 17. American Express Card Members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets two days earlier. This tour marks Glover’s first since 2019 and fans can expect to hear hits like “3005,” “Redbone,” and “This is America” along with new tracks from “Atavista.”
Despite his usual absence from the hip-hop scene in recent years, Glover has made a few appearances including releasing the official soundtrack for the show he co-created,”Swarm”. Fans of his music and artistry have been eagerly awaiting this tour which promises to be a must-see event in Boston and beyond.
