Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman BJ Thompson is in stable condition after experiencing a seizure and subsequent cardiac arrest at the team facility. His agent, Chris Turnage, visited him in the hospital and provided an update on his condition. Turnage mentioned that while Thompson is still unconscious, his vital signs are stable and his family is asking for continued prayers.

Thompson was attending a team meeting when he experienced the seizure, prompting immediate medical attention from the Chiefs’ staff. He was then taken by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment. As a result of the incident, the Chiefs decided to cancel their Thursday practice but plan to resume normal activities, including practice and media availability, on Friday.

Drafted in the fifth round last year, Thompson had only played in one game as a rookie before this medical emergency. Despite the scary turn of events, Thompson’s condition remains stable, and he is receiving ongoing care and monitoring from medical professionals. The Chiefs organization is offering support to Thompson and his family during this difficult time.
