A new sports network is set to launch in Chicago, bringing together the broadcasting rights of three professional teams including the Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox. The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) made the announcement on Monday, revealing plans to offer fans more than 300 live games from these teams annually. In addition to game coverage, CHSN will include pre- and postgame commentary, as well as round-the-clock multisport programming.

CHSN is a joint venture between the three Chicago teams and Standard Media, with studios located at the United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The network will debut with the airing of Blackhawks and Bulls preseason games in October, with White Sox games set to be shown starting in 2025. Until then, NBC Sports Chicago will continue to broadcast White Sox games in 2024. Pending approval from the leagues, CHSN will be available to viewers in Illinois, as well as parts of Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The network has already secured agreements with cable providers, streaming services, and will also be accessible through free over-the-air broadcast.

Jason Coyle has been appointed as the president of CHSN. He expressed his commitment to prioritizing fan experience and accessibility across different platforms. Coyle has a wealth of experience in Chicago-based sports media and is excited about the opportunity to engage sports fans across the region through CHSN’s programming offerings.
