Chicago police are currently investigating a burglary that occurred early Thursday morning at a River North business on Hubbard Street. Two suspects were involved in the incident, which took place around 5 a.m. According to reports, the suspects managed to steal a safe from the business before fleeing the scene in a white midsized SUV.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon, but Area Three detectives are working on the case to identify and apprehend the suspects. This incident follows a string of smash-and-grab burglaries on Chicago’s South Side, where thieves have been using stolen vehicles to target clothing and liquor stores.
