Conor Gallagher, a 24-year-old midfielder for Chelsea, has been named in England’s provisional squad for Euro 2024. As he enters the final year of his contract with Chelsea without any progress in renewal talks, the player is facing uncertainty about his future.

Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in signing Gallagher, but the midfielder is still open to staying with Chelsea, the club he has been with since he was eight years old. Despite this interest from other clubs, Gallagher remains committed to his current team and wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.

As both clubs prepare for their summer transfer activities, they must consider Premier League profit and sustainability regulations. To generate profit, Chelsea may sell some of their academy products such as Trevoh Chalobah, Ian Maatsen and Armando Broja to other clubs. In return, Chelsea has shown interest in Villa’s 20-year-old striker Jhon Duran and are also looking to sign Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.
