Lille striker Jonathan David is currently being considered by Chelsea as a potential replacement for Nicolas Jackson in their front line. While Chelsea has not yet contacted Lille directly, it is known that David will be available this summer with just one year left on his contract.

Chelsea has reached out to the Canadian forward regarding a possible move to Stamford Bridge, and David Ornstein of the Athletic confirmed the discussions. Lille has already acknowledged that they will entertain offers for the talented 24-year-old, and Chelsea is optimistic about negotiating a reasonable transfer fee for him.

David impressed last season with Lille, scoring 19 goals in Ligue 1. He has also been in excellent form for the Canadian national team, netting 26 goals in 48 appearances. Chelsea views David as a potential solution to their attacking needs and are eager to secure his services for the upcoming season.
