Chelsea are currently in discussions to appoint Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca as the successor to Mauricio Pochettino. The 44-year-old, who led the Foxes to Championship victory last season and secured promotion to the Premier League, appears to be the frontrunner for the position at Stamford Bridge.

Maresca has expressed interest in joining Chelsea, and negotiations are ongoing. This comes after Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna withdrew from the race for the role. However, there is still a possibility that former Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and Brentford’s Thomas Frank could be considered for the position.

Any potential hiring will require Chelsea to pay compensation fees. Maresca, who gained coaching experience as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, is rumored to cost close to £10m. The club aims to finalize the appointment this week, pending discussions on compensation.

If Enzo Maresca becomes Chelsea’s new manager, what do you think he can bring to the team? Would you be happy with his appointment?
