Ryan Sessegnon, a 24-year-old winger, is set to leave Tottenham this summer on a free transfer in search of a new challenge with a Premier League rival. Despite having the option to extend his contract for another year, Sessegnon is eager to move on and prove himself at a new club. Throughout the current season, he has only made one appearance as a substitute in a seven-minute match against Burnley in the FA Cup due to various injuries.

The former England Under-21 international has had two surgeries due to chronic hamstring issues, with his most recent surgery taking place in February after an injury in an academy game. Although he is close to returning to full fitness, Sessegnon is determined to get back on the pitch and play first-team football once again. With his departure from Spurs, they will be looking for a replacement forward to strengthen their squad for next season under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Sessegnon initially joined Tottenham from Fulham for £25million after being named the Championship Player of the Year during Fulham’s successful promotion campaign in 2019. Despite facing setbacks and injuries throughout his career, Sessegnon remains determined and focused on making a comeback and showcasing his talent once again on the field.
