The annual Joseph Mewhiney Central Mass All-Star Classic football game took place at Doyle Field in Leominster, providing high school seniors with the opportunity to play one last game in their helmets and shoulder pads. This year’s game featured District 2 against District 3, with District 2 emerging victorious with a score of 21-7.

District 3 was comprised of Mid Wach teams, while District 2 included players from various leagues and conferences such as the SWCL, Colonial League, Inter-High, Dual Valley Conference, St. John’s, St. Bernard’s, and St. Paul. The standout player of the game was Uxbridge QB Kellen LaChapelle, who was named the MVP for his elusive moves, scrambles, and accurate throws that helped lead his team to victory.

In the second half, Oxford’s Robbie Fisher made a crucial interception at the goal line to further solidify District 2’s victory. The interception was a turning point in the game and ultimately led to District 2’s win over District 3.
