The District 6 football champions will be competing in the PIAA Class 3A and 1A playoffs this weekend, with some of the games taking place close to home. On Friday, Central High School will face off against Hickory, the District 10 champ, at Mansion Park at 7 p.m. Central won their last game against Clearfield in double-overtime in their first interdistrict matchup.

Cambria Heights, who recently captured their first-ever District 6 championship, will also be competing in the state Class 1A playoffs. They will take on District 4 champ South Williamsport at Williamsport High School on Saturday at 7 p.m.

In addition to those games, District 6’s Bald Eagle Area and Juniata high schools will also be competing in the playoffs. Bald Eagle Area will take on Southern Columbia, while Juniata will visit Selinsgrove at both matches scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.
