Northampton Town defender Jordan Willis recently signed a new two-year contract with the club. Since joining as a free agent last October, Willis has been a key player for the Cobblers and made 28 appearances in the previous season. At 29 years old, he is seen as an ideal age for a center-back and his abilities on the field have not gone unnoticed.

Willis started his career at Coventry City and played nearly 180 league games for the Sky Blues. He has also had stints at Sunderland and Wycombe, further adding to his professional pedigree. Northampton manager Jon Brady praised Willis for his calmness, presence, and experience, highlighting his importance to the team in the previous season.

Northampton finished 14th in League One last season with 60 points. Willis’s contribution to the team’s performance was recognized and he is expected to be a significant asset to the squad as they look ahead to the upcoming season.
