Texas Gov. Greg Abbott joined Alfred “Al” Blaschke, a man who recently reclaimed his Guinness World Records title by skydiving at the age of 106 years and 327 days old. Blaschke had originally earned the title for being the oldest person to tandem skydive when he jumped out of a plane at the age of 103 in 2020. However, his record was later broken by a Swedish woman named Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson, who was 103 years and 259 days old when she went skydiving.

Blaschke was determined to recapture his title and did so by taking the plunge once again at an impressive age. When asked about his experience, Blaschke expressed that individuals should not underestimate themselves and that everyone is more capable than they think. They just need to have the courage to try something new. His positive mindset and adventurous spirit are truly commendable.
