The Boston Celtics have been represented on the All-NBA First Team for the 2023-24 season by Jayson Tatum. This is the third consecutive year that he has made it onto the first team, a feat that no other Celtics player has achieved since Larry Bird accomplished it nine straight times from 1979-80 through 1987-88.
Jaylen Brown just missed out on being selected to the All-NBA teams, receiving 50 voting points which was 20 fewer than the lowest vote-getter for the third team. Despite this, he had an impressive season and was named to the second team last year. He averaged 23 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game while shooting efficiently from the field and behind the arc. He also received recognition for his defensive efforts, earning three All-Defensive first-team votes.
Both players’ impressive performances have contributed to the Celtics earning the best record in the league at 64-18. With only seven more wins needed to secure their first championship since 2008, they are in a strong position after defeating the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
