In Game 2 of the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers, Jrue Holiday put on an impressive performance as a Boston Celtics player. He followed this up with another stellar showing in Game 1, making some history in the process. According to StatMuse, Holiday became the first NBA player since 1990 to record 10 or more assists while shooting 80 percent or better from the field in a conference finals game. In Game 1, Holiday scored 28 points with seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in the Celtics’ overtime victory. He also played excellent defense against Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.

Holiday’s total of 43 points over the last two games with a true shooting percentage of 86.8% puts him in exclusive company among Celtics players, with only Eddie House (2009) and Ray Allen (2011) achieving similar stats in a two-game playoff span for Boston. While Jaylen Brown has been the standout player in the series thus far, Holiday’s contributions have been significant in Boston’s success against Indiana. He has made an impact on both ends of the floor as a scorer, playmaker, and lockdown defender.

The Celtics went on to win Game 1 by one point and are now leading Indiana 2-0 in the series after two games. However, they will face tougher challenges ahead as they prepare for Game 3 on Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game is set for 8:30 p.m., ET and NBC Sports Boston’s coverage starts at
