As the school year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize the seniors who have excelled in their high school athletic careers. To do this, we have created a new poll that will showcase the top local performers in each grade. The first edition of this grade-centric poll will be released on Tuesday, May 7, starting with the best senior spring sports athlete from the Muskegon area.

Throughout this season, we have highlighted several outstanding athletes who have won the title of Athlete of the Week. We have recognized students like Paxton Borgman from Fremont and Kylee Willea from Oakridge. These athletes have demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and leadership in their respective sports.

To nominate someone for this special recognition, you can email your suggestions to jvandyke@mlive.com, along with the player’s statistics and achievements that you think make them deserving of this honor. We encourage you to take a moment to recognize these talented seniors and their contributions to their schools and communities.
