Two years after being granted his wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cesar Gonzalez and his family traveled to Boston to witness the Boston Celtics win their 18th NBA championship. Cesar, a high school senior at Bullard High who has epilepsy and experiences seizures daily, had the opportunity to attend the game up close.

Despite being diagnosed with epilepsy at 13 years old and having to give up activities like swimming, driving, and playing basketball due to his condition, Cesar remained positive and lived each day with a fearless attitude. His motto was “Anything is possible,” and he found joy in every moment.

Cesar’s medical team at Stanford Health enrolled him in the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which granted his wish to attend the NBA Finals. As a result, Cesar and his family enjoyed police escorts, luxury box seats, and the chance to walk on the court before the game started. Cesar even got to meet celebrities like Shaq and JJ Redick, making unforgettable memories.

The experience was a dream come true for Cesar, who had always been a fan of basketball. His family was proud of his strength and resilience in facing his daily challenges with epilepsy. Despite his condition, Cesar never let it stop him from pursuing his dreams and living life to its fullest potential.
