CeeDee Lamb has not participated in the Cowboys’ organized team activities that started on Tuesday, as he is seeking a contract extension. This mirrors recent holdouts by Ezekiel Elliott and Zack Martin, who eventually received their desired contracts before the start of the season.

Lamb, along with Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons, are all looking to reset the market at their positions through contract extensions. Parsons has also not participated in the offseason program, leaving uncertainty about his attendance at Tuesday’s practice. Lamb is pushing to be paid as one of the top receivers in the league right now, set to make nearly $18 million this year on his fifth-year option.

The receiver market is in flux, with Lamb and Justin Jefferson waiting for new deals. Ja’Marr Chase is also seeking an extension, as all three hope to reset the market for future contracts. Tyreek Hill currently holds the record for the highest average salary for a receiver at $30 million per year.

Last year, Lamb had a standout season that led him to earn All-Pro honors for the first time while leading the league in catches, yards, and touchdowns. His performance on the field has undoubtedly increased his value in contract negotiations.
