CeeDee Lamb, a highly skilled wide receiver for the Cowboys, has chosen to skip the voluntary aspects of the team’s offseason program in pursuit of a new contract. According to reports, Lamb will continue to be absent from mandatory minicamp this week, resulting in approximately $100,000 in fines for missing all required activities.

Lamb was drafted in the first round in 2020 and is currently in the final year of his rookie contract with a fifth-year option. He is slated to earn $17.991 million in 2024. With Justin Jefferson’s recent contract extension that reset the receiver market, Lamb is next up to potentially receive a new deal.

Lamb had an outstanding season in 2023, leading the league with 135 catches and achieving career highs in yards (1,749) and touchdowns (12). Over his first four years playing 66 games, Lamb has accumulated 395 receptions for 5,145 yards and 32 touchdowns.
