In an effort to enhance the experience of its Premium Economy class, Cathay Pacific is adding 16 seats on its upcoming fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The airline has taken a human-centric approach to design a premium cabin for guests traveling on these new aircraft, aiming to make long-haul flights more comfortable for passengers.

The new Premium Economy seats have been redesigned with ergonomics in mind, featuring improvements such as wing-shaped headrests, better seat padding, leg rests, and an automated system for deploying and stowing tables. The cabin also includes 15.6-inch 4K TV screens with a new graphical interface, as well as Bluetooth pairing for personal headphones.

Cathay Pacific has upgraded its dining options for Premium Economy passengers, offering Jain and plant-based meal choices. The airline has also collaborated with top Chinese winemakers to update its wine selection in this cabin, providing a more elevated dining experience for travelers.

Future retrofitting plans may include expanding these enhancements to other aircraft models like the A350s in the coming years.
