John and Kyle Walczak, an Indiana couple from Carmel, recently broke the Guinness World Record for their impressive collection of 2,022 jigsaw puzzles. The couple’s passion for collecting puzzles began in 2019 and quickly grew into a full-blown addiction.

According to John Walczak, the couple initially found the experience of completing their first jigsaw puzzle to be fun, which led them to continue with their hobby. Kyle Walczak mentioned that the appeal of jigsaw puzzles lies in the satisfaction of placing each piece and the ability to lose oneself in creating a beautiful image.

Despite their vast collection and passion for jigsaw puzzles, the Walczaks admit that they rarely finish puzzles fast enough to place in competitions. Nonetheless, they enjoy participating in these challenges and continue to feed their addiction to collecting and solving jigsaw puzzles.

The couple now holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles, with an impressive total of 2,022 puzzles. They keep track of their collection using a detailed spreadsheet that includes information on the puzzles they own and the ones they have solved.
