The 24-year-old Fulham youth product Jayden Harris, who made 15 appearances for Eastleigh during the second half of last season, has had his contract with Carlisle United cancelled by mutual consent. The midfielder joined the Cumbrians from Aldershot in 2022 on a three-year deal.

During his time at Carlisle, Harris made 28 appearances for the team under Paul Simpson’s leadership. However, it became clear that things did not go as planned and it was decided to part ways before the end of his contract. Despite being brought in as a development project, Simpson expressed that he intends to have players who are fully committed to achieving the team’s goals in the upcoming season. This decision is part of the team’s commitment to building a strong and cohesive squad for the new season.
