As the NFL offseason continues, we eagerly anticipate the beginning of the 2024 regular season, which is just 67 days away. To kick off their season, the Arizona Cardinals will face off against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Week 1.

In recent years, offensive lineman Austen Pleasants has been a part of the Cardinals’ roster and has been practicing to compete for a spot on the team. Despite having only played two career NFL games and with just 10 career offensive snaps under his belt, Pleasants is determined to make a significant impact for the Cardinals.

Pleasants was previously replaced by Justin Pugh, who played with the team from 2018 to 2022. During his time with the Cardinals, Pugh excelled as he started at right guard in 2018 before moving to left guard. He even filled in at right tackle when needed. In total, Pugh started 56 games for the Cardinals and was a reliable player on the offensive line.

After leaving Arizona, Pugh went on to play 12 games for the New York Giants last season. Originally drafted by the Giants in the first round in 2013, Pugh has found success on multiple teams throughout his career. His departure opened up an opportunity for Pleasants to prove himself as a valuable member of the team’s offensive line unit.

As we count down to Week 1 of the regular season, stay tuned for more updates on Pleasants’ progress and his potential impact on Arizona’s offense.
