The University of Louisville’s former NFL player, Teddy Bridgewater, has been inducted into the prestigious Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. This announcement was made by the Louisville Sports Commission during Champions Day events at Churchill Downs on Wednesday. Bridgewater played for the Cardinals and led them to victory over Florida Gators at the Sugar Bowl in 2013 before embarking on a successful NFL career.

Drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft by Minnesota Vikings, Bridgewater went on to play for several teams including New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos. His outstanding performance on the field has earned him recognition as one of the top players in the league.

Bridgewater will be joined by three other individuals in the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024: Tony Delk, Oscar Combs, and Roy Pickerill. The selection process involved a committee of 16 sports media professionals from across the Commonwealth along with Bygone Era Selection Team. The honorees and their families will be celebrated at a special ceremony in September 2024 at Freedom Hall in Louisville.
