Camden County has a wide range of free programs for seniors this summer, including golf, pickleball, and bocce ball lessons. These activities are designed to be accessible to all abilities and are simply meant for fun and socializing. Dominic Vesper Sr., a volunteer bocce ball instructor for the county, emphasizes the importance of these programs and encourages seniors to participate in them.

Former county commissioner Joseph Borregine, who is 94 years old, enjoys participating in the programs as well. He highlights the importance of socializing and making new friends, especially as one gets older. Through June, there are a variety of events for seniors to participate in, such as billiards, bowling, pickleball, bocce ball, ceramics classes, Tai Chi, book clubs, dancing, and bingo. These activities provide opportunities for seniors to stay active and learn new skills while also having fun with others. The full summer schedule of activities for seniors can be found on Camden County’s website. Brandon Goldner is an award-winning reporter who primarily covers events in South Jersey.
